The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Chicago Bulls at the Staples Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulls will be gunning for their third win in four games after making light work of the Lakers in a 114-91 rout on Thursday. Jimmy Butler led the offense with 26 points and 10 assists, Pau Gasol added 21 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists while Derrick Rose chipped in with 16 points as the Bulls jumped all over the Lakers to build a double digit lead early before cruising in the second half. With the win, Chicago improves to 26-19 on the season and 10-10 on the road.
Meanwhile, the Clippers are also coming off a win over the Lakers, beating them by 105-93 last night at home for their third straight win. Chris Paul led the way with 27 points and seven assists and had plenty of support as the bench combined for 56 points led by 17 points from Austin Rivers as the Clippers did just enough to pull away from the Lakers in the fourth quarter to improve to 31-16 on the season and 16-7 at home.
In ATS trends, the Bulls are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win, while the Clippers are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning record and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
Head to head, the Bulls are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings but the road team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall. The Clippers have been on an absolute tear with Blake Griffin still on the sidelines, but the Bulls should be good enough to take advantage of the shorthanded Clippers and escape with the cover or even the win.
