The defending champion Golden State Warriors have reportedly added another household name to the mix as they continue their quest for the greatest season in NBA history.

According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, the Warriors have reached an agreement with veteran center Anderson Varejao.

The 33-year-old was waived by the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, shortly after being shipped there in a three-team trade involving the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic.

The Warriors will reportedly pay Varejao the veteran's minimum for the remainder of the season after cutting forward Jason Thompson, according to The Vertical's Marc Spears.

Varejao, who spent the first 12 seasons of his career with the Cavs, has averaged 2.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 10 minutes per game this season, while appearing in 31 contests.

The one-time All-Defensive Team member is obviously no longer the interior presence he once was, but Varejao will give the Warriors' frontcourt some depth - especially considering injured backup center Festus Ezeli isn't expected back until late March.
