VIDEO: Rondo goes behind his back for beautiful dime

Don't expect Rajon Rondo to shoot the lights out, but definitely count on the Sacramento Kings floor general to find the open man - in fancy fashion, no less.

Rondo almost tallied yet another triple-double Sunday night versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Although he fell three points and one rebound shy of such an impressive individual achievement, he did produce a memorable behind-the-back pass from the baseline out to sharpshooter Marco Belinelli, who was awaiting the kick-out at the 3-point line.

Unreal.

Even living under the world's largest rock couldn't prevent one from being at least mildly aware of Stephen Curry's recent meteoric rise.

From newborn Dubs supporters to 105-year-old superfans, the Golden State Warriors' sharpshooting, ball-handling wizard is beloved by all - even when he's in enemy territory such as the Brooklyn Nets' home turf.

Take this young fan, for instance - he seems more than pleased with his signed Curry jersey (see: vocal cord-straining screams, popping eyeballs, and "I'm gonna cry" proclamations).

Kobe thinks Lakers can top Warriors: 'I've seen stranger things happen'

Kobe Bryant has never lacked confidence.

With the Los Angeles Lakers about to face the undefeated Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, Bryant told reporters on Sunday that he believes in his team.

From ESPN's Baxter Holmes:

"I've seen stranger things happen," Bryant said Sunday after his team's 107-93 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers at Staples Center here. "We've been playing like s---. We might go up there and we might play like gangbusters up there. You never know. "

Realistically, the Lakers probably don't have a shot at beating the Warriors. Golden State has won 15 straight games to start the season, tying an NBA record in the process and looking like an unstoppable juggernaut. The Lakers, on the other hand, have lost three straight games and are currently the worst team in the Western conference. They've also relied on an aging Bryant way too much.

Of course, Bryant shouldn't be saying that the Lakers will get steamrolled by the Warriors. Confidence is definitely needed against the Warriors and if the Lakers can draw some inspiration from Bryant so be it. However, even head coach Byron Scott is more realistic about the Lakers' chances against the Warriors.

From Holmes:

Lakers coach Byron Scott was asked for his thought on the matchup. He laughed. "That's my thought right now," Scott said. "They're the best team I've seen in the league and it's not close ... .

They're the best team I've seen in a while."

Stranger things have happened but expect the Warriors to make history on Tuesday night when they beat the Lakers and start the season off a perfect 16-0.

Warriors become 4th team in NBA history to start 14-0

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Chicago Bulls 106-94 on Friday, becoming the fourth team in NBA history to start a regular season with a 14-0 record.

The Warriors joined the 1957-58 Boston Celtics, 1993-94 Houston Rockets, and 2002-03 Dallas Mavericks as the only NBA teams to come out of the gates with 14 wins and zero losses.

Similar to this Warriors group, the aforementioned Celtics squad won the championship the season prior to achieving the rare milestone.

Friday's win was Golden State's 26th consecutive home victory. The Warriors are the 15th franchise in league history to accomplish the feat.

The Bulls put forth a valiant effort, with Jimmy Butler powering his squad with 28 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

However, Stephen Curry and company would not be denied.

Curry led the Warriors with 27 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Harrison Barnes played the role of secondary contributor with 20 points and nine rebounds.

The contest featured several first-half lead changes, with the Warriors leading 50-47 at the break.

The Bulls failed to outscore their opponents in either of the second-half stanzas, as the Warriors pulled away for good late in the fourth.

One day after the Warriors almost lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Bulls appeared to have a good opportunity to upend the defending champs.

Chicago beat Golden State on Jan. 27, a loss which snapped the Warriors' 19-game home winning streak.

Friday's game nearly came down to the wire, but an upset was not in the cards.

Next up with a chance to stop the Warriors in their tracks are the Denver Nuggets, as the Western Conference foes are set to clash Sunday.

LeBron James Rips Sleeves Off His Jersey

James complained about wearing sleeves two years ago, and it seems they are still not his style.

Things got off to a very meh start for LeBron James on Wednesday night against the New York Knicks. He was 4-of-11 from the field, 0-for-3 from the three, and missed both attempts from the charity stripe. Finally he couldn’t take it anymore. He had to do something about those annoying sleeves on his jersey.

There. That’s better. This is your friendly and periodic reminder that sleeved basketball jerseys – like jumbo shrimp and sweater vests – make no sense and go against the natural order of things.

LeBron's Historic Night : LeBron becomes youngest player to 25,000 points

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James continues to shatter records as his brilliant 12-year career trudges on.

James, who is still 58 days from his 31st birthday, became the youngest player to reach the 25,000-point plateau on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Needing 21 points to cross the threshold, James converted an alley-oop from Matthew Dellavedova four minutes into the fourth quarter to give him 22 on the night, and 25,001 for his career. James finished the night with 22 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, four steals, and two blocks in 33 minutes of action.

Monday's output also pushed James past the 30,000-point plateau when including playoff totals. James entered the game with 29,999 combined points.

James, who made his NBA debut at the age of 18, is also the youngest player to score 1,000 points, 10,000 points, and 20,000 points, and is the youngest Rookie of the Year winner and the youngest All-Star Game MVP.

When it's all said and done, James has a chance to hit some rarefied heights in the NBA's record books. The four-time MVP currently ranks 20th in scoring, and sits 13,408 points back of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. At his current rate of 27.3 points per game, James needs approximately six more seasons to eclipse Abdul-Jabbar's all-time mark of 38,387.

In the meantime, James sets his sights on 19th place in scoring, which belongs to Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West and his 25,192 points.

Check out the highlights from LeBron James' historic night where he becomes the youngest in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points.  http://watch.nba.com/video
