With the "NBA 2K16" roster changes, it has been unveiled that Los Angeles Lakers power forward Blake Griffin's apologized after a fight with a team staff member. Also, reports say that the game was sued over some video game tattoos.

Griffin's "Hands" rating decline from 99 to 77, which could be secondary to a fight with a team staff member, according to Fox Sports. As per the publication, Griffin was assumed to miss four to six weeks due to a spiral fracture of the fourth metacarpal of his right hand, following a clash with a team staffer.

On Jan. 26, NBA's Steve Ballmer and coach Doc Rivers issued a statement, indicating that the power forward's behavior had no place in the organization. In line with his injury, Griffin's reportedly underwent a surgical treatment with an orthopedic surgeon following his return to Los Angeles from a five-team game trip.

On Jan. 27, Griffin tweeted an apology, saying that a situation among friends had escalated and he regretted the way he had handles himself towards someone he cared about. He said he wanted to apologize to the Clippers organization, his teammates, and the fans for creating a distraction.

Griffin added that for the time being, he was working with the team on a resolution and getting back in the game as soon as possible. In other news, Solid Oak Sketches, who owns copyrights on several tattoos they had done for NBA players like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, are charging 2K for their work's appearance in "NBA 2K16," according to ESPN. As per the publication, the former offered 2K to license the art for $1.1 million, but the latter did not take the offer. "NBA 2K16" is accessible on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

There's a $250,000 NBA 2K16 Tournament Happening

2K Sports gets in on the eSports action.

Competitive gaming is a big deal over in Asia, and it’s been steadily making its way to the western world over the past few years. ESPN even added an “eSports” vertical to their site in the past few months. Now your favorite NBA game NBA 2K16 is getting in on the action to the tune of $250,000 in prizes.

Called “The Road To The Finals,” the tournament series begins on February 15, with 16 qualifying events that will be used to evaluate the final 16 people who get a shot at the prize money. The 16 qualifying events will be online-based, so there’s no regional favoritism.

The tournament uses NBA 2K16’s pro-am feature, which pits five-on-five teams made up of individual human players against each other. Participants will use their own custom players rather than the existing NBA stars.

2K Sports’ statement explains further, “Teams can participate in any of the 16 qualifying events where they will need to win at least four games in order to qualify. Those four games will be scored based on the team’s performance and then ranked on the event leaderboard. The top score of each qualifying event day will be deemed the winner and will move on to the tournament.”

A single-elimination tournament will be held on May 21, and the finals match between the top two players will be held in June. The final match is slated to line up with the NBA Finals.

We know there are at least a few of you with NBA 2K16 chops out there, so head over to the full contest rules to figure out how to register. NBA 2K16 community manager Chris Manning has already upgraded his player to a 99 rating, so you’d better get working. 2K Sports’ statement explains further, “Teams can participate in any of the 16 qualifying events where they will need to win at least four games in order to qualify. A Brief History of NBA Players Stupidly Punching Stuff

Best price NBA 2K 16 MT points only here: http://www.vbgamecoins.com/en/40--2k16-mt

blake-griffin.jpg

This week Blake Griffin learned the hard way: When it's hand vs. face, the hand almost always loses. In every man’s life, there comes a time or two or eighty when you’re on Netflix, watching Donnie Yen pummel dudes into guacamole, and you clench your fists and look at ol’ Shock and Awe and think, “Aw yeah, I could totally do that.”

Clippers star Blake Griffin probably wasn’t trying any Wing Chun during his altercation with Clippers assistant equipment manager Matias Testi, but even though it was Blake doing the repeated punching, he didn’t exactly land the KO, either: “Testi was left with a severely swollen face and Griffin with a broken right hand, which is expected to keep him out for at least a month,” reported Deadspin. Wait, so who won that again?

Which brings us to our point. We think we’ve come up with some good guidelines for Blake and everyone else’s fisticuffs moving forward. Think of them as GQ’s official rules for punching dudes. And they’re pretty simple, too: 1. Don’t punch people. 2. If you’re going to punch people, don’t punch people in the face, because it’s extra dumb.

NBA players have a long history of jeopardizing their careers with face-based battery. Even a pacifist like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar kicked off the 1977 season by punching Kent Benson in the face; Kareem missed out on twenty games and his third consecutive MVP. In ’85, Larry Bird hurt his finger sucker-punching a man in a bar; he shot 46 percent in the playoffs, and the Celtics fell to the Lakers. (Not to mention: MJ, Kerr; Kobe, Samaki Walker.)

The Clippers, meanwhile, defeated the reigning-champion Spurs in the playoffs last year and looked to be at least third in the top-heavy Western Conference this season. Now experts are wondering which of the Clips’ big three is most expendable, and the trade rumors are a-swirlin’.

Look, it’s understandable why you would want to punch someone in the face. It’s the window to the soul, and sometimes you want to hit that stupid, smug soul right in its weaselly lips. Unfortunately, because the skull contains sensitive objects like your eyes and nose, it’s also built like a tank. In fact, research shows that hominid jaws and brows evolved to grow bigger and thicker as “protective buttressing,” crude bone armor against rival cavemen’s fists.

And professional people-punchers aren’t even exempt. Even though combat athletes all wear gloves (and even the four-ounce gloves UFC fighters wear make a big difference), there’s a name for the consequences of all those impacts: boxer’s fracture. See, to hit someone without fear of injury, you just have to make sure “the knuckles of the second and third metacarpal align linearly with the articulating radius, followed linearly by the humerus,” which is hard enough to understand when you’re reading it on Wikipedia, let alone when it’s 2 A.M. and someone’s telling you that DeAndre’s the real heart and soul of the team.

The military agrees as well. “Punches should only be executed to the soft tissue areas of an opponent,” says the U.S. Marine Corps’ Close Combat Manual. Whereas with the head and face, “the risk of self-injury is great unless Marines deliver strikes with a hard object such as a helmet, rifle butt, or boot heel.” Look forward to Matt Barnes showing up to game day with a flak helmet and the stock off a Beretta 690 later this year.

So really, there’s no reason to hit people, especially when you’re hitting your own hand harder. Besides, Blake: You’re Blake Griffin, man! Get revenge the American way and buy and sell his ass with your fabulous wealth and influence. Your metacarpals will thank you.

NBA Trade Rumours: Former all-stars on the move?

Best price NBA 2K 16 MT points only here: http://www.vbgamecoins.com/en/40--2k16-mt

The NBA’s Feb. 18 trade deadline is inching closer and the rumours are swirling. Here’s some of the latest buzz from around the league. Should Clippers move Griffin?

The Skinny: Zach Lowe raised a few eyebrows in a recent story on ESPN.com, citing sources that told him Doc Rivers would be most willing to part with Blake Griffin if he had to deal any of his three major pieces (the other two being Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan). Analysis: Griffin has dominated NBA headlines lately after getting into an altercation with a team staffer that resulted in a broken hand during the Clippers’ trip to Toronto. Griffin is Los Angeles’s best overall player and would net the largest return if a trade were to happen. Now in his sixth season, the first overall pick in the 2009 draft remains one of the game’s top talents, averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists on 51 per cent shooting.

Despite the recent drama, a trade involving the five-time all-star is extremely unlikely at the moment and would seem to be an overreaction for the ages. However, Rivers did tell Lowe before the season that a roster shakeup may be necessary if the Clippers were eliminated in the first or second round of the playoffs. If an overwhelming package of players and draft picks comes along, Los Angeles could pull the trigger. Don’t hold your breath on this one, though.

Hawks willing to part with Teague?

The Skinny: On an episode of The Vertical podcast, Adrian Wojnarowski and Chris Mannix of Yahoo! Sports reported the Atlanta Hawks are discussing moving point guard Jeff Teague. Numerous teams have allegedly expressed varying degrees of interest in the former all-star. Analysis: Dealing with a nagging ankle injury, Teague's numbers are down across the board in 2015-16 and he has become somewhat expendable for the Hawks due to the emergence of backup Dennis Schroder. Schroder is averaging nearly 11 points and five assists per game in just 21 minutes of action. When expanded to a per-36-minute level, the numbers exceed Teague's production. At just 22 years of age, Schroder appears to be the floor general of the future in Atlanta.

However, for a team looking to add an impact player at the trade deadline, it's hard to imagine landing a better asset than Teague. He's still very much in his prime at 27 years old and is just one year removed from an All-Star Game appearance. His salary is team-friendly as he's due to make just $8 million next season.

One of the teams that has reportedly made contact with the Hawks is the New York Knicks, who sit on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture but remain in striking distance. Jose Calderon is having a solid year, but Teague could be the piece to push New York over the hump. However, putting together a package of the Hawks' liking may be tricky for the Knicks.

'NBA 2K16': New patch released to prepare for 'Road To The Finals 2K Pro-Am" tournament' New patch designed to prepare 'NBA 2K16' for upcoming 'Road To The Finals 2K Pro-Am' tournament

Best price NBA 2K 16 MT points only here: http://www.vbgamecoins.com/en/40--2k16-mt

A new patch has just been released for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One ports of "NBA 2K16." The game's publisher indicated that the new patch is meant to prepare the game for the start of the upcoming "Road To The Finals 2K Pro-Am" tournament, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

In pursuit of that, the newly released patch is more focused on the bugs that are found in "NBA 2K16's" MyCOURT, MyPARK, and Pro-Am modes.

For now at least, it looks like the other gameplay modes of "NBA 2K16" will remain unaffected by the arrival of the latest patch. As for what the new patch does specifically, one of its new features is the addition of Player of the Week and Player of the Month listings to the MyPARK leaderboards.

The new patch is also addressing a few bugs, including one that previously allowed players to wear mascot outfits even though they were not qualified to do so just yet.

The latest "NBA 2K16" patch also fixes a bug that once led to players erroneously producing ankle breaker reactions. Additionally, the "NBA 2K16's" newest patch is introducing a variety of tweaks that should improve the overall performance of specific game modes such as MyCOURT.

Aside from the patch, the game's developers have also unveiled a new roster update that is making significant changes to some of the players inside "NBA 2K16," Design and Trend reported.

One player who has been significantly affected by the latest roster update is the Miami Heat's Hassan Whiteside. Thanks to the latest update, Whiteside now sports a 100 block rating inside "NBA 2K16" that should help him swat shots with greater regularity. On the flipside, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers was adversely affected by the newest "NBA 2K16" roster update as his rating has been decreased.

DeMarcus Cousins for skills challenge !!!

Best price NBA 2K 16 MT points only here: http://www.vbgamecoins.com/en/40--2k16-mt

DeMarcus Cousins, other bigs to compete in All-Star skills challenge

The skills challenge at All-Star weekend will look a lot different this year. In Toronto, it won't just be little guards running around the circuit. Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousinsconfirmed on Thursday that he will take part in the event, via the Sacramento Bee's Jason Jones.

Cousins said he had to "represent for the bigs," but he's not the only one doing this.According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Cousins will be joined by Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Davis and Draymond Green. That is a heck of a list. There is no word yet if the big-man skills challenge will have different rules. Putting them up against guys like Isaiah Thomas and John Wall would seem a little weird.

This seems like a nice way to inject new life into the competition. There was also a bit of time to kill on All-Star Saturday now that the shooting stars competition has been put to rest, so it makes sense.

DeMarcus Cousins has some skills. (USATSI)

NBA 2K16

Patch Update 5 is now available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of NBA 2K16. The patch addresses some minor issues that players were experiencing when playing the game.

NBA 2K16 also updated its player rankings and according to the game, Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry is still the best player in the NBA, Design & Trend reports.

Curry and the Warriors continue to dominate the NBA with the league's best record of 42-4. Curry is averaging 32.1 points per game in his last 10 games. NBA 2K16 rates him at a 96 overall, a one point increase from his last rating.

James Falls to a 94

LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers is still having a pretty good year, averaging 24.9 points per game for the year. In his last 10 games, he has averaged 23.2 points per game. NBA 2K16 rates him at a 94, a one point decrease from his last rating and the second best rating in the game.

The third best player in the game, according to NBA 2K16 is one of the three cover athletes, James Harden of the Houston Rockets. Harden is rated a 91 overall by NBA 2K16, a one point increase from his last rating.

Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Khris Middleton saw his rating increase the most, going up from 80 to 82 overall. Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic saw his rating decrease the most, going down from an 84 to an 82.

Minor Updates Fix Freezing and Animations
The major updates included in the patch were minor.

One update fixed an issue where players were allowed to equip mascot costumes even if they did not have the appropriate rep level in the MyPARK mode.

An animation fix eliminated "ankle breaker" reactions to defenders who were actually in good defensive position.

Some connection and freezing errors were also addressed and fixed in the MyCOURT and Pro-Am Arena modes.

The patch update is available for download now on both consoles.

"The Beard" is racking up treys at a record rate.

James Harden, 26, became the youngest player to hit 1,000 career 3-pointers in Wednesday's 123-114 loss to the Detroit Pistons.

Harden hit three treys in the game, finishing with his first triple-double of the season: 33 points, a career-high 17 rebounds, and 14 assists.

Basketball coaches at every level loathe an apathetic approach on the defensive end.

For the 2015-16 iteration of the Houston Rockets, coordinated and fully-engaged defensive efforts have been about as frequent an occurrence as a lunar eclipse.

During Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, James Harden reminded us why his team ranks in the bottom third of the league across most defensive statistical categories.

On this play, DeAndre Jordan loses his man on a screen, putting the onus on Harden to step into the lane to prevent the Clippers big man from getting to the rim unimpeded.

Apparently, defense has been outlawed in southeast Texas.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

That well-known saying was surely on Kelly Olynyk's mind Wednesday as his Boston Celtics hosted Dirk Nowitzki's Dallas Mavericks.

Olynyk's attempt at the patented "Dirk fadeaway" is almost comical given the separation he had on the 37-year-old Nowitzki.

After hitting iron, everybody on the floor shared a laugh, and you can even make out Olynyk saying to Nowitzki, "I had to try it."

The veteran outscored the youngster 23-5 as the Mavs won 106-102.

After a woeful start to the season, James Harden is cooking again, as evidenced by his second consecutive 40-plus-point game in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night.

Of course, it was unlikely he was going to shoot 20 percent from the field all season, but the rapidity with which he - and his Houston Rockets, who improved to 4-3 after starting 0-3 - reversed course has turned a few heads.

Among those who noticed was his postgame interviewer Saturday, who had the gall to suggest Harden has his rhythm going again. Harden didn't dignify the statement/question with a response, short of this withering look:
